About me

Everything I teach, I love and I practise. And if I start to unravel, these gifts allow me to observe and be tender with myself. I love helping anyone on their journey to peace and wholeness as I tread the same path. I love sharing the tools that help me. I love our universality and our uniqueness.

My yoga journey started with Iyengar yoga and Buddhist meditation in Brighton in the late 1980s, led to the Sivananda ashrams in India and California, to the Ashtanga Vinyasa guru Sri K Pattabhi Jois in Mysore and the sweaty early mornings of London’s Mysore scene. Then came the heart opening bhakti practices in the ashrams of Sai Baba and Amma, and Birthlight teachings which helped me surrender to childbirth and motherhood. In the mix I took a humanities degree, worked in advertising, travelled the world, married my childhood sweetheart, had 3 beautiful children, all with very strong characters, trained as a reflexologist, a holistic and Thai massage therapist and qualified as a practitioner of Reiki, EFT, NLP and IET. I am certified to teach mindfullness meditation and hold the Junior intermediate (level 3) Iyengar yoga certification.

Since 1999,I have been running Breathe Yoga and Pilates with my husband, Robin. Breathe provides private yoga and Pilates lessons for individuals and groups in homes and offices all over London. So if I can’t teach you myself, we will find you someone wonderful who can.
